Join us for an evening of discussion, canapés and drinks with Sheffield’s B2B community.
📅 Wednesday 25th November 2026, arrive from 5:00pm

What’s on the agenda
Welcome drinks, canapés & networking from 5pm
At 5.45pm, we’ll kick off the talks and audience Q&A:
Richard and Millie from Casla will introduce the topic and speakers, and share what we’re seeing with clients
Tom Gibbons, Senior Account Executive EMEA at Navan, will cover how he uses AI for account research, prioritisation and messaging, plus some cold calling tips from the front line
Liam Ibbetson, Business Development Representative at Chainguard, will explain how multi-threading turns single-contact deals into enterprise wins: why relying on one contact is the most common way pipeline quietly disappears, and how to map and engage the whole buying group, drawing on selling into the MOD, central government and global tech
Matthew Murray, BDR Manager at Haiilo, will be sharing his insights and experiences from leading an outbound team
We’ll then open up the discussion and ask the audience for their questions, experiences and reflections on how their own teams make outbound work
More networking, canapés and drinks from 7.15pm
Meet the speakers
Tom Gibbons
Senior Account Executive EMEA at Navan
Tom sells Navan’s travel and expense platform to enterprise accounts across EMEA. Before Navan he spent over four years at UserTesting, latterly as Sales Director for Enterprise New Business in Northern EMEA, where he landed the region’s largest new logos, and before that five years at Showpad. He has a reputation for doing his homework on accounts and for being willing to pick up the phone.
Liam Ibbetson
Business Development Representative at Chainguard
Liam is Sheffield-based and works internationally for Chainguard, the secure-by-default open source software company. He spent two years at Cloudflare as a BDR, including in public sector, and before that worked in field operations at Ciena. He has sold into the MOD, central government and global enterprise accounts, and has the closed-won examples to show where multi-threading made the difference.
Matthew Murray
BDR Manager at Haiilo
Matthew leads the business development team at Haiilo, the Hamburg-based employee communications and engagement platform, where he has been for over two years, first as a BDR and now as BDR Manager. He started in business development at AppLearn and moved to Nexthink after the acquisition. He is a member of SDR Leaders of EMEA and Sales Development Leaders, and is based in Manchester.
