“Being in Sheffield puts you on the map. People around the world know Sheffield, whether it’s for football, music, or a friend’s son studying at Sheffield Uni. From the outside looking in, people tend to have a good opinion of Sheffield. They tend to have heard good things.”
— Francis Cram, CEO at MapStand, a geospatial data and insights company based in Sheffield.
Research Report: Marketing Trends at Sheffield's B2B SMEs
Earlier this year, we published a research report featuring 10 brilliant small and medium-sized B2B businesses based in Sheffield. We were struck by the how important a role place played for many of the companies we spoke to.
Some said being in Sheffield shapes their brand’s voice and messaging. Others commented on the benefits of being part of a business ecosystem, and how sponsoring and supporting local organisations helps build brand awareness. There are practical benefits, too, in terms of being able to meet up with people in person, and a sense of being proud to be here.
